Air Purifier Ionizer

Questions

Question #1: my room stinks from my kittens!?

I live in my basement meaning i have no heat, no a/c, and no circulation. I purchased a heater, fan, and air purifier. i vacuum at least 3 times a week and constantly spray febreeze, lysol, etc. i always clean my clothes too. I recently adopted two kittens. They live in my room(they have no access to my house, allergy reasons). oh and for the people who think thats mean it is a big room, 25' x 30'. Anyway, it is summer now and it smells worse than ever. my room always had an odor even before kittens due to the basement. But it didn't smell bad. Now whenever i walk into my room i gag from the odor. They are definitely not spraying so i came to the conclusion that it is the litter box. I clean it literally 4 times a day and change it once every 5 days. i even bought the expensive arm and hammer clumping litter. I also purchased a thing to hold the poop. It kinda is like a diaper genie. It seals the waste with each turn. Click Here

that was a link for the product. sounded great with the reviews but i dont know. My dad is going to bring home an air ionizer thing but i would really appreciate alternate ideas. I need alot of ideas because if the smell doesn't go away i have to get rid of them my parents say. Thank you everybody
they are both spayed females. i understand odor is odor. Maybe if there are products that i can buy that have long lasting effects but i dont know what

Question #2: Do air ionizers work?

We recently stopped smoking in our house after 7 years and i cant get the smell out. Will a air ionizer work or do i have to replace the carpet and paint? The carpet and paint are only 2 years old so i hate to replace If these air purifiers work, which brand is the best?.

Question #3: What is the importance of air ionizer?

I have an air purifier with a Ionizer on it and wondering if there are pros and cons of using the Ionizer.
Thank you in advance.

Question #4: is it possible that ozone can naturally be occurring in a room?

recently, at certain times I can smell ozone in my bedroom, just for a few second. I don't have air purifier, ozonizer or ionizer. I live in tropical climate and I open my window when it's hot in the room, rarely use air conditioner. (the smell only occur when the all windows are closed). It really puzzled me from where the ozone smell possibly comes from.

Question #5: would air ionizer/purifier effect on room temperature ?

Would air ionizer and purifier make my room temperature become colder/hotter ? or it doesnt effect it at all ?

Question #6: Why would you want to ionize air?

I've heard that many air purifiers have ionizers in them (I have one two), and I have never really understood the importance or the goal of ionizing the air. Besides the reasons on a quantum scale, why would you want ionize the oxygen and what does it do for us as humans?

Question #7: Air Ionizer, Air Purifier or Air Cleaner?

I'm a little confuse about this.

Air Ionizer, Air Purifier or Air Cleaner: What do they do?

I need one that I can put at home where it can clear germs. You see, sometimes my kids fall sick and their coughs can contaminate the air.

So, an air cleaner will be good.

If I search for a product that can clean the air, do I look for Ionizer, Purifier or Cleaner? Or something else?

Question #8: Air purifier - should I clean it or get rid of it?

I bought an air purifier at a garage sale, it looked pretty new and in good shape so I bought it and bought a filter for it and used it for 3 days.

Then I got really sick....could it have been from the air purifier?? Should I try to take it apart to clean it on the inside? or should I just get rid of it? I am hesitant to try it again because I don't want to get sick again...it has an ionizer but I did not use that as a setting

thanks!
